Steve Moore and the New South

This is my “part-time” band or more specifically my band of studio musicians!

For the most part all Studio Musician are the “same person” – Steve Moore.

However, from time to time, I do bring in “session players” to play on some of my studio work!

I will often use the same players for “live gigs” but I don’t get out and play LIVE very often.

However, I do go “sit-in” with other bands – usually during their breaks and just play one or two songs -

This works out perfectly for me – as all I have to do is bring my Mandolin, Harps or my main guitar and PLAY.

I will say that I actually sit-in as a side musician on Mandolin or Harmonica more than any other instruments!

Also I have to bring my OWN GUITAR(S) as I’m generally pretty rough with compared to the other guitarists -

as when it comes to my Stratocaster I usually treat her more like a “lady of the night” or New Orleans street hooker

vs. my Les Paul that’s more like a PROM QUEEN.
